October 12, 2023: Canton, NC 28716 In Thursday's non-league game, the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) football team knocked off the visiting Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), by a score of 34-13.
The Bears (5-1) will now prepare for their game against East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league game with a 0-5 record. In their last game, East Henderson was knocked off by North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC), 45-6, in a non-league game.
The Mountaineers now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Smoky Mountain for a non-league game on Thursday, October 19. Tuscola will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 35-20 non-league loss to Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-5.
