The Smoky Mountain Mustangs football team (Sylva, NC), was tipped 22-19 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC)

The Bears (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record.

The Mustangs now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Henderson for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 21. Smoky Mountain will meet a Knights team coming off a 15-14 non-league win over West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Knights record now stands at 3-1.
