In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Pisgah Bears football squad scored a close 20-13 victory over the Franklin Panthers.

In their next game, the Bears clash with the West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, October 5. Pisgah will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Falcons enter the match with a 6-1 record after their 16-13 non-league win over Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC).

The Panthers (4-1) will now prepare for their match against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Knights enter the non-league match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, North Henderson was nudged by Tuscola (Waynesville, NC), 21-14, in a non-league match.
