The Aliquippa Quips (Aliquippa, PA) football routed the host New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA), 55-7 in Friday's league challenge.

The Quips (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA). The Colts come into the WPIAL AAAA Parkway challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Chartiers Valley was ripped by Montour (McKees Rocks, PA), 49-7, in a league challenge.

The Hurricanes now sport a 0-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ambridge for a WPIAL AAAA Parkway challenge on Friday, October 20. New Castle will meet a Bridgers team coming off a 56-12 league loss to Central Valley (Monaca, PA). The Bridgers record now stands at 2-6.
