Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team rout the host New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA), 42-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, Mars improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Fightin' Planets host Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA) to confront the Cougars in a non-league test on Friday, September 8. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 0-2. Blackhawk lost 33-20 in their recent non-league test against Highlands (Natrona Heights, PA)

With the loss, New Castle moves to 0-2 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to Armstrong (Kittanning, PA) to confront the River Hawks in a non-league test on Friday, September 8. The River Hawks go into the test with a record of 1-1. Armstrong lost 37-19 in their recent non-league test against Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA)
