In Friday's league match, the host Magruder Colonels football squad scored a close 28-21 victory over the Rockville Rams.

In their next game, the Colonels clash with the Wootton Patriots (Rockville, MD) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 20. Magruder will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 4-3 record after their 51-14 league win over Watkins Mill (Gaithersburg, MD).

The Rams (2-5) will now prepare for their match against Gaithersburg (Gaithersburg, MD). The Trojans enter the non-league match with a 6-1 record. In their last match, Gaithersburg held off Seneca Valley (Germantown, MD), 28-14, in a league match.
