Alaska High School Volleyball - Houston edged by Valdez
October 13, 2023: Big Lake, AK 99652 The Valdez Buccaneers held off the host Houston Hawks volleyball team by a score of 1-0 in Friday's non-league test.
The Buccaneers now have a 31-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monroe Catholic for a non-league test on Friday, October 13. Valdez will confront a Rams team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Delta (Delta Junction, AK). The Rams record now stands at 4-16.
The Hawks (10-18) will now prepare for their test against Kenai Central (Kenai, AK). The Kardinals enter the non-league test with a 30-2 record. In their last test, Kenai Central held off Seward (Seward, AK), 3-0, in a league test.
