October 14, 2025: Corona, NM 88318 Carrizozo Grizzlies (Carrizozo, NM) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Corona Cardinals (Corona, NM), 3-0 in a league test.
With the win, Carrizozo improves its record to 2-12 on the season. The Grizzlies host Vaughn (Vaughn, NM) to meet the Eagles in a 1A District 3 challenge on Thursday, October 16. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Vaughn lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM)
Next, the Cardinals meet the Mountainair Mustangs (Mountainair, NM) in a 1A District 3 challenge, on Thursday, October 16. Corona will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM).
