Champlain Valley Union Redhawks (Hinesburg, VT) fans left the game content Saturday as they saw their football team nip the host Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT), 28-21 in a league test.

With the triumph, Champlain Valley Union improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Redhawks host Bellows Free Academy (St. Albans, VT) to battle the Bobwhites/Comets in a Division I test on Saturday, October 22. The Bobwhites/Comets come into the test with a record of 1-6. Bellows Free Academy lost 21-20 in their recent league test against Hartford (White River Junction, VT)

With the loss, Essex drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Burlington/South Burlington (Burlington, VT) to battle the in a Division I test on Friday, October 21. The come into the test with a record of 1-5. Burlington/South Burlington lost 16-8 in their recent league test against Middlebury (Middlebury, VT)
