The Portland Highlanders volleyball squad (Portland, CT), dropped 3-0 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting East Hampton Bellringers (East Hampton, CT)

With the win, East Hampton moves its record to 12-4 on the year. The Bellringers travel to North Branford (North Branford, CT) to meet the Thunderbirds in a Shoreline contest on Friday, October 17. The Thunderbirds enter the contest with a record of 13-5. North Branford lost 3-2 in their recent league contest against Morgan (Clinton, CT)

Next, the Highlanders meet the Plainville Blue Devils (Plainville, CT) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 16. Portland will attempt to move on its 1-16 season record. The Blue Devils enter the contest with a 10-5 record after their 3-0 league win over Platt (Meriden, CT).
