Match Summary
Both the JV and Varsity matches tonight consisted mostly of JV players on both sides. These two teams were well matched tonight and created some long, exciting rallies! In what were two difficult losses, the Phoenix girls did very well on serve receiving, with one of their best matches of the season in this area! They also passed the ball around to each other well and mostly did a great job getting three hits each time the ball was on their side of the net. Their communication and hustle to the ball was satisfactory. It seemed like it should have been a very competitive match, but unfortunately, mistakes cost our team sorely. We missed key serves, passed too many balls close to the net and made too many errant attacks. Our girls also struggled to make solid offensive hits across the net, allowing the Lady Chargers to handle the receive and make fairly effective attacks. It was a disappointing final match of the season for our two participating Phoenix Varsity players.
