High School Volleyball - Pensacola Area Homeschool edged by JV Opponent
October 19, 2023: , The JV Opponent held off the visiting Pensacola Area Homeschool Phoenix volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.
The now have a 99-192 record. They put it on the line next when they host Invest Collegiate Imagine for a non-league test on Thursday, October 19.
The Phoenix (4-19) will now prepare for their test against JV Opponent (, ). The enter the non-league test with a 96-190 record. In their last test, JV Opponent held off Maret (Washington, DC), 2-1, in a league test.
Match Summary
In our season finale, the Phoenix JV team took on the Lady Falcons in a doubleheader. We started off in our first set looking as if we were playing our first volleyball game of the season! Eventually, however, our girls woke up and were able to pull off a come-from-behind squeaker to win the set. Unfortunately, after that, we just plain did not play up to our potential. Our serving game seemed to go from bad in the previous match to worse in this match. Our serve receiving took a huge dip tonight, causing us to allow too many serving runs where the Lady Falcons served point after point. Those long scoring runs are hard to recover from. In fact, in the tiebreaking set of the first match, the Lady Falcons won the set in only two serving runs.....summary continued in the Game 2 match summary
