October 16, 2023: Marlboro, NY 12542 The Marlboro Central Dukes (Marlboro, NY) volleyball overcame the visiting Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), 3-1 in Monday's non-league outing.
With the win, Marlboro Central upgrades its record to 7-6 on the year. The Dukes host Rondout Valley (Accord, NY) to face the Ganders in a MHAL outing on Tuesday, October 17. The Ganders go into the outing with a record of 2-10. Rondout Valley won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Onteora (Boiceville, NY)
The Goldbacks now own a 4-12 record. They play next when they host Monroe-Woodbury for a Section 9 Orange County I outing on Wednesday, October 18. Newburgh Free Academy will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Monticello (Monticello, NY). The Crusaders record now stands at 11-5.
