The Ascension Catholic Bulldogs football squad scored 57 points and limited the host St. John Eagles to 35 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Thursday.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the North Iberville Bears (Rosedale, LA) in a 1A District 8 game, on Friday, October 24. Ascension Catholic will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 7-0 record after their 48-0 league win over White Castle (White Castle, LA).

The Eagles (4-3) will now prepare for their game against East Iberville (St. Gabriel, LA). The Tigers enter the 1A District 8 game with a 2-5 record. In their last game, East Iberville fell by Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA), 41-20, in a league game.
