North Iberville Bears (Rosedale, LA) followers went home content Thursday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA), 50-44 in a league match.

The Bears (6-0) will now prepare for their match against White Castle (White Castle, LA). The Bulldogs come into the 1A District 8 match with a 0-6 record. In their last match, White Castle was nudged by East Iberville (St. Gabriel, LA), 24-6, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Eagles confront the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA) in a 1A District 8 battle, on Thursday, October 16. St. John will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a 4-2 record after their 42-0 league win over Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA).
