The Escondido Cougars (Escondido, CA) flag football beat the visiting Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA), 31-13 in Thursday's non-league bout.

With the win, Escondido advances its record to 10-10 on the season. The Cougars host Pacific Ridge (Carlsbad, CA) to encounter the Firebirds in a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 22. The Firebirds go into the bout with a record of 1-8.

The Sundevils now own a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to Westview for a Palomar contest on Monday, October 20. Mt. Carmel will battle a Wolverines squad coming off a 39-0 league win over El Camino (Oceanside, CA). The Wolverines record now stands at 14-2.
