Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their flag football team nip the visiting Escondido Cougars (Escondido, CA), 14-13 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Del Norte advances its record to 6-4 on the season. The Nighthawks travel to Mt. Carmel (San Diego, CA) to confront the Sundevils in a Palomar match on Monday, September 22. The Sundevils enter the match with a record of 6-2. Mt. Carmel won 28-7 in their recent non-league match against Valley Center (Valley Center, CA)

Coming up next, the Cougars confront the Vista Panthers (Vista, CA) in a Valley match, on Monday, September 22. Escondido will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
