The Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) volleyball knocked off the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), 3-0 in Thursday's league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 16-3 record. They play next when they travel to Staunton for a Shenandoah bout on Tuesday, October 21. Alleghany will clash with a Storm team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA). The Storm record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Rockbridge County drops to 8-9 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA) to battle the Cougars in a Shenandoah contest on Tuesday, October 21.
