Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Alleghany improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Cougars host Staunton (Staunton, VA) to face the Storm in a Shenandoah test on Thursday, September 18. The Storm go into the test with a record of 3-4. Staunton lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA)

Next, the Wildcats meet the Stuarts Draft Cougars (Stuarts Draft, VA) in a Shenandoah challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Rockbridge County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 3-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Alleghany (Covington, VA).
