Blue Ridge Barons (St. George, VA) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Barons confront the Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA) in a Blue Ridge Athletic challenge, on Friday, October 20. Blue Ridge will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Chiefs enter the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 4-0 league loss to North Cross (Roanoke, VA).

The Bishops now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Covenant for a NVIAC challenge on Thursday, October 19. Virginia Episcopal School will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-1 league win over Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-9.
