The Mountain Island Charter Raptors walloped the visiting Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles football team by a margin of 38-6 in Friday's league outing.
The Raptors now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Stanly for a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A outing on Friday, October 24. Mountain Island Charter will clash with a Rowdy Rebel Bulls squad coming off a 49-0 league win over Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls record now stands at 6-2.
With the defeat, Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy drops to 0-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host North Stanly (New London, NC) to clash with the Comets in a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A outing on Saturday, October 25. The Comets come into the outing with a record of 7-1. North Stanly won 35-23 in their recent league game against North Rowan (Spencer, NC)
