The Loyd Star Hornets football squad scored 50 points and limited the visiting Enterprise Yellowjackets to 12 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Franklin County for a non-league test on Thursday, October 23. Loyd Star will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 24-21 league win over Hazlehurst (Hazlehurst, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.

With the defeat, Enterprise drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Amite County (Liberty, MS) to meet the Trojans in a 2A Region 7 test on Friday, October 24. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Amite County lost 49-26 in their recent league challenge against Wesson (Wesson, MS)
