Massachusetts High School Football - Governor's Academy thwarted by Lawrence Academy
October 18, 2024: Groton, MA 01450 Lawrence Academy Spartans (Groton, MA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Governor's Academy Governors (Byfield, MA), 24-14 in a league battle.
With the win, Lawrence Academy advances its record to 1-4 on the season. The Spartans host Milton Academy (Milton, MA) to play the Mustangs in a Independent School ISL-7 battle on Saturday, October 26. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 1-4. Milton Academy lost 37-0 in their recent league battle against Tabor Academy (Marion, MA)
The Governors now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Buckingham Browne & Nichols for a Independent School ISL-7 battle on Saturday, October 26. Governor's Academy will play a Knights team coming off a 27-14 league win over St. Sebastian's School (Needham, MA). The Knights record now stands at 5-0.
