October 18, 2025: Newberg, OR 97132 Newberg Tigers (Newberg, OR) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Putnam Kingsmen (Milwaukie, OR), 4-1 in a non-league test.
With the victory, Newberg improves its record to 4-5 on the year. The Tigers host Forest Grove (Forest Grove, OR) to confront the Vikings in a 6A Pacific outing on Tuesday, October 21. The Vikings go into the outing with a record of 6-1. Forest Grove lost 6-3 in their recent league test against McMinnville (McMinnville, OR)
The Kingsmen now have a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they host Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts for a 5A Northwest Oregon test on Tuesday, October 21. Putnam will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, OR). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-10.
