New York High School Soccer - Kellenberg Memorial knocks off St. John the Baptist
October 19, 2023: Uniondale, NY 11553 Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds (Uniondale, NY) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting St. John the Baptist Cougars (West Islip, NY), 4-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Firebirds face the St. Dominic Bayhawks (Oyster Bay, NY) in a NSCHAA challenge, on Friday, October 27. Kellenberg Memorial will attempt to better on its 14-4 season record. The Bayhawks enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 3-0 league win over St. Mary's (Manhasset, NY).
The Cougars now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Chaminade for a NSCHAA challenge on Tuesday, October 24. St. John the Baptist will face a Flyers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to St. Anthony's (Melville, NY). The Flyers record now stands at 10-2.
