New Mexico High School Volleyball - Los Alamos nudged by Albuquerque Academy
October 2, 2021: Albuquerque, NM 87109 The Los Alamos Hilltoppers volleyball team (Los Alamos, NM), was edged 3-2 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM)
The Chargers (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM). The Huskies come into the 4A District 6 battle with a 12-1 record. In their last battle, Hope Christian nudged Valencia (Los Lunas, NM), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Hilltoppers clash with the Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) in a 4A District 2 battle, on Tuesday, October 5. Los Alamos will attempt to advance on its 9-5 season record. The Sundevils come into the battle with a 8-6 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM).

The Toppers let a 2-0 set lead slip through their hands Saturday afternoon at Albuquerque Academy. The Toppers work to minimize errors having 36 unforced errors in the first two sets they won and overall the Toppers totaled 80 unforced errors in 5 sets. Nadia Gallegos and Angelina Passalacqua continue to be bright spots in the Topper line up. Nadia had 15 kills and 13 blocks while Passalacqua managed the game with 40 assists 2 blocks and 2 aces on the afternoon. The Toppers now turn their focus to District play which opens Tuesday night at Griffith Gym against the Espanola Sun Devils.
