Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Monday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 2-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, October 4. Ashe County will attempt to advance on its 10-1 season record. The Panthers come into the match with a 12-5 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC).
