The Alexander Central Cougars topped the visiting Freedom Patriots volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Wednesday's league test.

The Cougars now have a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hickory for a non-league test on Thursday, September 28. Alexander Central will confront a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Foard (Newton, NC). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 11-4.
