The The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD) volleyball knocked off the visiting Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD), 3-1 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Tartans now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop O'Connell for a Washington Catholic bout on Tuesday, October 8. The Academy of the Holy Cross will clash with a Knights team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Flint Hill (Oakton, VA). The Knights record now stands at 18-2.

With the loss, Bishop McNamara drops to 8-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host St. John's (Washington, DC) to clash with the Cadets in a Washington Catholic bout on Tuesday, October 8. The Cadets come into the bout with a record of 17-3. St. John's won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD)
