Match Summary

Today we had the opportunity for a rematch, in our twice yearly joust with the Lady Knights. After an embarrassing showing in our previous meeting, this time our Phoenix JV squad was able to easily unhorse the JV Knights and come out holding the Phoenix flag high! We came in prepared for the match, with positive energy, good communication, solid passing and an aggressive offensive attack led by So. Paige Corliss and 8th grader Alliana West, who combined for 7 kills. We did not have the serving bug bothering us this time! Instead, our girls combined 88% serving with an incredible 91% serve receive to give themselves a foundation to control the game and dominate the Lady Knights. Even our 5th grader Maddie Gardner got to play; and she used her court time well, scooping up three digs!
