The Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks the host Discovery Canyon Thunder softball squad by a count of 5-1 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Red-Tailed Hawks meet the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans (Fountain, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 3. Cheyenne Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 13-0 league loss to Pine Creek (Colorado Springs, CO).

With the loss, Discovery Canyon moves to 6-13 on the season. The Thunder host Pueblo County (Pueblo, CO) to confront the Hornets in a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4.
