In Thursday's non-league outing, the Van-Far Indians (Vandalia, MO) softball team nipped the visiting Community Trojans (Laddonia, MO), by a margin of 7-6.

The Indians now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marion County for a non-league outing on Monday, October 6. Van-Far will encounter a Mustangs team coming off a 9-4 non-league loss to Canton (Canton, MO). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-6.
