Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Monticello improves its record to 6-7 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Orange County (Orange, VA) to face the Fighting Hornets in a Jefferson test on Tuesday, October 7. The Fighting Hornets go into the test with a record of 0-14. Orange County lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA)

Next, the Lions meet the Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA) in a Jefferson challenge, on Monday, October 6. Louisa County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Black Knights come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA).
