Fans at Thursday's league contest between the More Knights (San Jose, CA) and the visiting University Prep Academy Golden Eagles (San Jose, CA), observed More's volleyball team hold off University Prep Academy by a count of 3-2.

The Knights (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Madonna (Watsonville, CA). The Hawks go into the non-league battle with a 4-14 record. In their last battle, Mt. Madonna was edged by St. Francis (Watsonville, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Golden Eagles now own a 3-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Summit Shasta for a Private School - Bay battle on Tuesday, October 7. University Prep Academy will encounter a Black Bears squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Washington (San Francisco, CA). The Black Bears record now stands at 17-5.
