Mississippi High School Football - Clarksdale victorious over New Hope

October 20, 2023: Columbus, MS 39702

In Friday's league match, the visiting Clarksdale Wildcats football squad scored a good 35-7 victory over the New Hope Trojans.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS) in a 5A Region 1 match, on Friday, October 27. Clarksdale will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 3-6 record after their 10-3 league win over Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS).

The Trojans (0-8) will now prepare for their match against Lafayette (Oxford, MS). The Commodores enter the 5A Region 1 match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Lafayette was toppled by West Point (West Point, MS), 41-3, in a league match.
