Mississippi High School Football - Lafayette routs New Hope

The Lafayette Commodores football squad scored 50 points and restricted the visiting New Hope Trojans to 7 in the Commodores league victory on Friday.

The Commodores now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Corinth for a 5A Region 1 battle on Thursday, November 2. Lafayette will play a Warriors squad coming off a 41-0 league loss to Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 3-7.

Coming up next, the Trojans play the West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) in a 5A Region 1 battle, on Thursday, November 2. New Hope will attempt to advance on its 0-9 season record. The Green Wave enter the battle with a 6-3 record after their 34-7 league win over Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS).
