In Friday's league match, the host Wilkes-Barre football squad scored a good 35-7 victory over the Dallas Mountaineers.

In their next game, the clash with the Wyoming Valley West Spartans (Plymouth, PA) in a Wyoming Valley 6A/5A match, on Friday, October 28. Wilkes-Barre will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 0-9 record after their 41-19 non-league loss to Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA).
