The Dallas Mountaineers (Dallas, PA) football defeated the visiting Crestwood Comets (Mountain Top, PA), 35-14 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Mountaineers face the Williamsport Millionaires (Williamsport, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 9. Dallas will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Millionaires enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 29-12 league win over Pittston (Pittston, PA).

The Comets (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA). The Warriors enter the Wyoming Valley 4A bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Wyoming Area lost by Honesdale (Honesdale, PA), 21-0, in a non-league bout.
