October 21, 2022: Ellwood City, PA 16117 The New Brighton Lions football team (New Brighton, PA), was ripped 52-7 in Friday's league challenge with the host Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA)
The Panthers (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln (Ellwood City, PA). The Wolverine come into the WPIAL AA Midwestern challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Lincoln was ripped by Neshannock (New Castle, PA), 40-21, in a league challenge.
The Lions now sport a 0-9 record. They take the field next when they host Freedom Area for a WPIAL AA Midwestern challenge on Friday, October 28. New Brighton will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 28-8 league loss to Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-7.
