California High School Flag Football - Helix can't hold off Grossmont

October 21, 2025: El Cajon, CA 92021

Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) followers went home in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their flag football team tip the visiting Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA), 13-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Grossmont advances its record to 17-4 on the season. The Foothillers host Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA) to confront the Eagles in a Grossmont Hills match on Thursday, October 23. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 12-4. Granite Hills won 27-7 in their recent league match against Santana (Santee, CA)

Coming up next, the Highlanders confront the Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) in a Grossmont Hills match, on Thursday, October 23. Helix will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Cougars come into the match with a 17-4 record after their 39-6 league win over Santana (Santee, CA).
