In Thursday's league match, the host Waltrip Rams football squad scored a decisive 50-12 victory over the Austin Mustangs.

The Rams (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Madison (Houston, TX). The Marlins go into the 5A-1 Region III District 10 battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, Madison walloped Spring Woods (Houston, TX), 39-13, in a league battle.

The Mustangs now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they host Sharpstown for a 5A-1 Region III District 10 battle on Friday, October 31. Austin will play a Apollos team coming off a 45-27 league loss to Westbury (Houston, TX). The Apollos record now stands at 2-6.
