Sharpstown Apollos (Houston, TX) boosters were happy Friday as they witnessed their football squad topple the host Austin Mustangs (Houston, TX), 42-16 in a league match.

The Apollos (3-6) will now prepare for their match against Madison (Houston, TX). The Marlins enter the 5A-1 Region III District 10 match with a 8-1 record. In their last match, Madison prevailed over Waltrip (Houston, TX), 49-26, in a league battle.

The Mustangs now own a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to Galena Park for a 5A-1 Region III District 10 battle on Thursday, November 6. Austin will play a Yellowjackets team coming off a 48-21 league loss to Westbury (Houston, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-6.
