Texas High School Football - Grand Prairie defeats Sam Houston

In Thursday's league match, the host Grand Prairie Gophers football squad scored a good 35-27 victory over the Sam Houston Texans.

The Gophers (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Arlington (Arlington, TX). The Colts enter the 6A Region I District 8 match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Arlington was beaten by Lamar (Arlington, TX), 35-21, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Texans confront the Martin Warriors (Arlington, TX) in a 6A Region I District 8 match, on Friday, October 31. Sam Houston will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 2-6 record after their 34-27 league loss to South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX).
