Texas High School Football - Union Grove nudges Harleton

In Thursday's league match, the host Union Grove Lions football squad scored a close 10-6 triumph over the Harleton Wildcats.

The Lions (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Beckville (Beckville, TX). The Bearcats go into the 2A-1 Region III District 10 battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Beckville nipped Hawkins (Hawkins, TX), 50-14, in a league battle.

The Wildcats now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Ore City for a 2A-1 Region III District 10 match on Friday, October 31. Harleton will meet a Rebels squad coming off a 38-7 league loss to Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 3-5.
