North Carolina High School Football - Piedmont thwarted by Monroe
October 24, 2024: Monroe, NC 28110 Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), 26-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Monroe improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Redhawks host West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to play the Colts in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 31. The Colts go into the battle with a record of 4-4. West Stanly lost 40-38 in their recent non-league battle against Anson (Wadesboro, NC)
The Panthers now have a 0-9 record. They play next when they host Parkwood for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 31. Piedmont will play a Wolf Pack team coming off a 22-20 non-league loss to Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 2-6.
