North Carolina High School Football - Anson tops Piedmont
October 9, 2024: Monroe, NC 28110 The Anson Bearcats football squad scored 32 points and limited the host Piedmont Panthers to 12 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Bearcats now hold a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Monroe for a non-league test on Thursday, October 17. Anson will meet a Redhawks squad coming off a 17-0 non-league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 3-3.
With the defeat, Piedmont drops to 0-7 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Forest Hills (Marshville, NC) to meet the Yellow Jackets in a non-league test on Thursday, October 17. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 3-2. Forest Hills won 26-14 in their recent non-league test against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)
