North Carolina High School Football - Parkwood thwarted by Anson
October 3, 2024: Monroe, NC 28112 Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC), 8-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Anson improves its record to 2-2 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Piedmont (Monroe, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league battle on Wednesday, October 9. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 0-6. Piedmont lost 21-13 in their recent non-league battle against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)
The Wolf Pack now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe for a non-league battle on Wednesday, October 9. Parkwood will play a Redhawks team coming off a 20-14 non-league loss to Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 2-3.
