In Friday's league match, the host Cedar Ridge Raiders football squad scored a close 38-35 victory over the McNeil Mavericks.

The Raiders (4-5) will now prepare for their match against Manor (Manor, TX). The Mustangs go into the 6A Region IV District 25 battle with a 0-8 record.

The Mavericks now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Manor for a 6A Region IV District 25 battle on Friday, October 31. McNeil will play a Mustangs team coming off a 44-10 league loss to Vista Ridge (Cedar Park, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-8.
