In Friday's league match, the host Mandeville Skippers football squad scored a good 27-0 triumph over the Ponchatoula Green Wave.

The Skippers (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Paul's (Covington, LA). The Wolves go into the 5A District 6 challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, St. Paul's toppled Northshore (Slidell, LA), 38-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Green Wave (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Covington (Covington, LA). The Lions go into the 5A District 6 test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Covington knocked off Hammond (Hammond, LA), 25-14, in a league test.
