In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Service Cougars volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Valdez Buccaneers.

The Cougars (27-17) will now prepare for their challenge against West Anchorage (Anchorage, AK). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 18-21 record. In their last challenge, West Anchorage was beaten by Dimond (Anchorage, AK), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Buccaneers meet the Palmer Moose (Palmer, AK) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 25. Valdez will attempt to upgrade on its 31-13 season record. The Moose come into the challenge with a 27-17 record after their 3-1 league win over Colony (Palmer, AK).
